WeeSIMS Device Compatibility Guide
To experience Seamless Global Connectivity with a WeeSIMS data eSIM, your device must meet two essential criteria:
-
Hardware Support: It must have an embedded eSIM chip built-in.
-
Carrier Unlocked: It must not be locked or restricted to a single mobile network provider.
π Quick Check: Is My Device eSIM Compatible?
The fastest way to verify if your device supports eSIM technology is via its built-in settings:
-
For Apple Devices: Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data). If you see an option for "Add eSIM", your phone supports it.
-
For Samsung Devices: Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager. If you see "Add eSIM", your hardware is ready.
-
For Google Pixel Devices: Go to Settings > Network & internet > SIMs. Tap "+" and look for "Download a new eSIM".
π‘ Universal Code Method: Open your phone's keypad and dial
*#06#. If an EID (Embedded Identity Document) number appears on your screen, your phone contains an eSIM chip!
π What Does "Carrier-Locked" Mean?
A carrier-locked device is restricted by your primary network provider to only function with their SIM cards. WeeSIMS data packages will not work on network-locked devices.
-
How to check (iOS): Go to Settings > General > About and scroll down to Carrier Lock. It should state "No SIM restrictions". If it displays a specific carrier name, you must contact them to request an unlock before using our eSIMs.
